Join Our Team as a Radiation Oncology Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an extraordinary Radiation Oncology Veterinary Technician to join our team at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA.

About the Role

As a Radiation Oncology Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

  • Assist in the preparation and administration of radiation treatments to patients under the supervision of doctors and higher-level technicians.
  • Perform basic RT patient set-ups and discharge Oncology patients from the hospital, including basic client education.
  • Admit Oncology patients and obtain thorough histories, including current medications and dosages, response to treatment, and side effects.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to understand and notify doctors appropriately when working with laboratory results.
  • Understand pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of commonly used medications and accurately calculate medical math.
  • Recognize abnormal heart and lung sounds and initiate CPR according to guidelines.
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia and maintain and care for anesthesia equipment.
