Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a financial services organisation in the UK as a Technology Risk and Controls Manager. The purpose of Technology Controls is to provide leadership and expertise in risk management, enabling colleagues to make informed decisions.

About the Role

You will provide oversight of the Technology Controls Library, supporting key stakeholders by providing expert guidance based on analytical outcomes and insight surrounding the operation of the control environment. This will involve:

  • Delivering scheme attestations and annual control testing schedules
  • Informing and supporting key stakeholders to make risk-based decisions
  • Communicating at an advanced level and positively challenging stakeholders to discharge their accountabilities in relation to Risk Management
Key Responsibilities

You will work under your own initiative to:

  • Plan, organise, prioritise, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives
  • Monitor, interpret, and understand policies and procedures, ensuring they align with organisational strategies and objectives
  • Identify, assess, prioritise, and manage risk
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in assurance activity, including control testing of key controls
  • Knowledge of cyber-related risks and issues, leveraging the NIST framework
  • Practiced in policy, standards, and process reviews, and adherence of first-line defence teams to these
