Senior Microbiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiologist to join our team at Eurofins UK Food Testing. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing technical microbiological expertise to support the delivery of high-quality testing services to our customers.

• Provide technical support to the laboratory team in all areas of microbiological testing.
• Ensure ownership of and improvements in existing methodologies.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve the service to our customers.
• Work within the laboratory accreditation standard of ISO 17025.

• Understanding of ISO 17025, UKAS, DWTS, LCA, key customer requirements, audit procedures, and laboratory methods.
• Proven experience in working to and exceeding targets within the quality system.
• Experience of working with a broad range of internal and external customers.
• Competence in IT, including LIMS, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.
• Maintaining a competent person pathway (CPD).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
