As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients and provide high-quality interpreting services.
Our company, Language Empire, has been providing professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK for over 20 years.
We are looking for an interpreter who is fluent in English and another language, and who has the right to work in the UK.
The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications in interpreting, such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.
As a self-employed interpreter, you will have the flexibility to choose your own hours and work from the comfort of your own home.
We offer ongoing help and support from our dedicated in-house team, as well as continuous professional development and support.
Once your registration has been approved, you will be contacted for any job opportunities in and around your locality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
- Checking the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
- Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
- Dealing with highly confidential information
- Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and another language
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications in interpreting, such as DPSI or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
