Administrative Assistant to a Social Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to provide administrative and observational support to a visually impaired social worker in Essex. The successful candidate will work one-to-one with the social worker, providing assistance with tasks such as:
- Monitoring the social worker's caseload and accessing the Safeguarding database
- Maintaining records of events and uploading relevant documents
- Supporting the social worker to prepare accurate written visit report notes
- Analysing and reporting findings from documents such as Rotas and signing in sheets
- Supporting the social worker to maintain records of student Social Workers' attendance
- Planning and preparation for meetings, diary management, and compilation of papers and agendas
- Driving the visually impaired social worker to various locations in Essex, approximately twice weekly
About You:
We are looking for an individual with excellent administrative and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. The ideal candidate will have:
- An excellent understanding of Microsoft programmes
- A relaxed and easy-going personality with high levels of written and verbal communication and professionalism
- Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail
- A high level of trust, integrity, and understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Punctuality, organisation, and reliability
- Excellent understanding of English and Maths, with suitable qualifications
- Experience in administrative and analytical roles, preferably in social care or a related field
Requirements:
The successful candidate will need to have:
- A valid up-to-date DBS and be able to provide proof of update service
- A full UK Driving License and access to own car with business class insurance
- Flexibility to travel to different areas of Essex
- Adaptability to change
What We Offer:
In return, you will be paid £15 per hour, working hours between 15-22.5 hours per week. You will also receive paid annual leave and an employer's contribution to a workplace pension.
