Responsibilities

As a Process Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring production lines operate flawlessly to maintain the exceptional quality our customers love. Your focus will be on safety, health, and the environment, ensuring reliability and operational integrity, while always seeking new ways to improve equipment and systems' performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate extrusion equipment via control room and field-based control systems
  • Respond to breakdowns, perform basic fault finding, and support maintenance and repairs
  • Monitor plant performance and diagnose faults
  • Maximize reliability through executing operator care rounds
  • Work within shift to ensure delivery of individual and team responsibilities and objectives
  • Conduct detailed shift handovers
  • Operate a forklift truck (training will be provided)
  • Issue work permits for operations and tanker offloading areas

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good general education: Grades A-C at GCSE level including Maths, English, and one other Science/Technical subject
  • Experience working in an operational role on a chemical process plant, or related engineering or heavy industry field would be preferred
