Community Health Specialist

The North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust seeks a highly skilled Community Health Specialist to drive the development of community resuscitation initiatives across Cumbria and Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically planning and developing a sustainable infrastructure that supports Emergency Life Support training and coordinates the delivery of various courses in Emergency Life Support Skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a significant impact in improving heart health initiatives and Community First Responder schemes. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Resuscitation Council (UK) current guidelines, experience in applying strategy and policy in a governance setting, and strong training, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and manage community resuscitation initiatives that support the delivery of North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust and British Heart Foundation's community responder/resuscitation strategy targets.
- Develop existing and new Community First Responder and Co-responder Teams.
- Maintain knowledge of BHF and NHS communication strategies and campaigns.
Salary: £38,890 - £44,440 per annum.
