Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Team Leader to join our Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) within the Emergency Department at Lister Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading the CDU and ensuring that patient care is of the highest possible standard.

Main Duties
  • Manage the CDU, a 7-bed and 4-chair space area, and a team of nurses and clinical support workers.
  • Lead the CDU to accommodate frailty patients, patients needing clinical navigator review, and ED patients aiming discharge within the 4 to 6 hours.
  • Ensure that patient care is of the highest possible standard and provide advice and support to all staff working in the area.
  • Develop, monitor, and audit standards for use in the clinical area.
  • Coordinate daily activities and operations with CDU and safely pull patients from other areas within ED, ensuring efficient patient flow, timely assessments, and adherence to clinical protocols.
