At Morson Talent, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineering Professional to join our team in Frimley. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development, analysis, and verification of internal communications and data networking systems for the Royal Navy Submarine Fleet.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned electrical engineer with experience in leading analysis and production of technical reports and team deliverables. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the design of electro-technical and naval weapon equipment meets the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design solutions to agreed time, cost, and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
  • Manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform, or programme.
  • Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual, and local business processes, standards, procedures, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of at least one of the following disciplines: design and deployment of complex network solutions, voice architectures, video surveillance, wireless solutions and RF propagation within closed spaces, fibre optical cabling, or network design.
  • Knowledge of Def Stan 08-107, Electrical Safety Standard BS EN 62368, EMC standard Def Stan 59-411, Ships power supply standard Def Stan 61-5, Environmental Qualification Standards Def Stan 08 – 123 & Def Stan 00-35, Submarine Materials Toxicity standard/database BR1326A (or surface ship equivalent), Rohs I & II, and REACH.
