This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to support Portfolio Managers and internal execution teams in their day-to-day risk-taking activities. As a Trade Support Specialist, you will be responsible for working with departments across the firm to ensure accurate and timely capture of trades.

Responsibilities
  • Electronic Affirmation: Collaborate with colleagues onshore and offshore, as well as counterparties, to match trades efficiently on affirmation platforms for IRS, Bond, and Credit trades.
  • Non-electronic Affirmation: Ensure that risks associated with trades not processed through electronic platforms are addressed and mitigated.
  • Broader T0 Tasks: Provide timely support and service to other product lines and areas involved in affirming trades on T0 (e.g., FX, Futures, Equity).
  • T+1 Support: Remediate any issues from the previous day in a timely manner, keeping impacted parties informed.
  • Escalation: Escalate failures in the process or potential issues that could result in losses to line managers, Operational Risk, and the wider management team.
  • Improvements and Initiatives: Identify and document pain points within respective areas, propose remediation initiatives, and engage stakeholders for buy-in and syndication.
  • Control Focus: Proactively identify, assess, and document risks within your area, proposing process and control improvements to mitigate them.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with interest rate derivatives exposure within a bank or another buy-side institution is desired.
  • The successful candidate will have experience in a high-paced environment, prioritizing multiple deliveries.
  • A strong understanding of market dynamics and industry regulatory changes is essential.
  • The ability to balance autonomous work and collaboration within a team is crucial, alongside managing project deliveries and BAU requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary, given daily interaction with senior Front Office stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard systems like MarkitWire, Markit Trade Manager, Bloomberg, and Murex is beneficial.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
