As a Product Developer, you'll play a crucial role in leading technology development workstreams for our oral product category, driving innovation and improvements in our current products.
Key Objectives and Expectations
The key purpose of this role is to ideate, develop, and evaluate new technologies and materials to drive innovation and improvements of current products. You'll collaborate with various partner groups to ensure that solutions are aligned with our commercial strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and developing enabling technologies and formulations to address consumer opportunity spaces, intellectual property gaps, and emerging regulatory requirements.
- Translating data into actionable insights and testable hypotheses, leading to technical solutions to problems.
- Leading the technical development and verification of technologies and formulations from problem definition and ideation through to verification of prototype performance.
- Creating scientifically robust technical and consumer learning plans.
- Building and leveraging relationships and external research partners and suppliers.
- Leading completion of project activities in accordance with R&D innovation and governance processes.
- Securing IP in partnership with patent attorneys.
- Providing technical support for future scale-up.
Requirements and Qualifications
We're looking for a candidate with a strong fundamental science background, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical or Materials Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. You should have experience working in a related laboratory environment and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A degree-level qualification is essential, and experience of working in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
