About the Role

We are seeking a senior pharmacist to lead the Planned Medicine team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes.

The post holder will oversee the provision of specialized pharmacy services, including clinical, dispensing, and supply services. They will also provide expert advice to nursing and medical staff on medication management and contribute to the development of treatment pathways.

Key responsibilities include managing a team of specialist pharmacists, providing high-quality care to outpatients, and promoting pharmaceutical care across the Care Group.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement guidelines, procedures, and policies to support medicines management
  • Provide regular financial reporting, drug usage, and expenditure forecasting
  • Identify and manage risks to patients through effective supervision of clinicians and nurses
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacy Practice
  • Experience of supervising others, including for research and audit projects
  • Ability to provide highly complex information on clinical pharmacy and finance issues
  • Capacity to identify and manage risks
Salary and Benefits
