Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

Join our team of experts at MASS Consultants and take on a challenging role as a Principal Systems Engineer. As a key member of our Electronic Warfare Operations Support (EWOS) Group, you will be responsible for delivering expert software, services, and training to the UK and nations abroad.

About the Role

We are seeking a strong people leader with teams across the UK and internationally to travel to customer sites and work onsite at our Lincoln office. You will be responsible for taking a concept from detailed analysis of technical requirements, defining work breakdown structures, methods of production, and respective resources. You will also be responsible for ongoing support throughout deployment and project support to assist these design tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams and complex projects in the Electronic Warfare domain
  • Develop and implement Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise using UML/SysML/Archimate
  • Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, system engineers, scientists, and ex-military personnel to deliver innovative solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
  • Support bid exercises and project development
Requirements
  • Experience across the Engineering Delivery Lifecycle
  • Defence Industry knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Coding experience in JavaScript or MATLAB/Simulink
  • Previous ex-Military experience with EW systems (operator, maintenance, support, or acquisition)
