About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join our team at Gategroup, responsible for driving company liveried vehicles in a secure and controlled environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle checks, loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft, and maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving and Vehicle Operations
    • Drive HGV tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure and controlled environment
    • Carry out vehicle checks prior to use
    • Load and unload catering uplifts to aircraft
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Liaise with flight crew and work in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
    • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle
    • Adhere to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By-laws
  • Additional Duties
    • Perform additional duties such as bar and stores packing or search and sealing, along with any associated paperwork
    • Participate in warehouse duties as required
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Valid clean HGV CAT C driving license (up to 3 points will be considered)
    • Digital tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
    • Driver CPC qualification essential
    • Previous HGV experience desirable, airport airside driving would be an advantage
  • Personal Qualities
    • Ability to work shifts
    • Keen to learn and develop skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication, and attention to detail
