Job Title: Senior Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our team. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing key clients across Surrey, providing financial advice and services to schools, academies, and trusts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service business clients within the education sector
  • Train school finance staff on relevant finance software
  • Absence cover for Finance Controller/CFO level roles
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Management of school budgets and forecasts
  • Assisting clients and auditors with financial statements and year-end audit
  • Reporting to Senior Management/Trustees
  • Advising clients on best practice based on the Academies Financial Handbook

Requirements:

  • Accountancy qualification - ACA or ACCA Qualified preferred
  • Experience working in the education or charity sector
  • Knowledge of PS Financials software desirable
  • Dedicated to delivering the best possible service to clients
  • Professional and presentable
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Ability to pass a clean enhanced DBS check

Working Arrangements:

The office is based near West Malling, Kent, and will act as the base for ad-hoc meetings when required. On a day-to-day basis, you will be based at your home address and will be required to regularly travel to clients' premises. Mileage will be reimbursed at the HMRC rate.
