Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join our client's Quality Control team. The successful candidate will ensure the quality of both internally produced and supply chain products through improving CMM programs, conducting inspections, and supporting the Quality Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections using Zeiss Calypso and PC-DMIS systems.
  • Develop CMM programs from CAD models and verify them against engineering drawings.
  • Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections and CMM Program Prove Outs.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Team to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Support lean initiatives and cost reduction activities.
  • Provide technical support for new product introductions (NPI).
  • Perform Manual inspections using hand tools and vision systems.
  • Provide technical support for Operator inspectors.
  • None conformance report writing.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inspection and programming with CMMs.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
  • Aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary Information: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
