The Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Bath. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for ensuring the store delivers premium customer service, achieves targets, and delivers commercial and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring a seamless customer experience and efficient store operations.
  • Sales and Profitability: Identify opportunities to drive sales and maximize profitability, working closely with the store team to achieve targets.
  • Team Management: Inspire and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service, providing regular training and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Recruitment and Performance Management: Support with recruitment and conduct performance reviews, ensuring the team is equipped to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Deputising: Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager, taking on additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous retail management experience at a similar level, with a proven track record of increasing overall business performance.
  • Skills: Strong commercial product management skills, with the ability to flex between customer service, operational, technical, and visual elements of the role.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving commercial excellence.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
