Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Portslade, East Sussex

About the Role:
  • This is a full-time, ongoing position where you will provide one-to-one support to a pupil with additional needs.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to the pupil, adapting teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist with learning activities and ensure the child is engaged and progressing in line with their goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing feedback to staff and parents/guardians.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN support role.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with children.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the child.
