Location: Feltham

Shift Pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off

Hours: 19:00 - 07:00

Salary: £30,000 inclusive of shift allowance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team on a night shift basis. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move goods around the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Warehouse Duties: You will be responsible for performing general warehouse duties, including receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Goods Management: You will be responsible for managing the goods in vehicles and containers to prepare them for replenishment, including checking for damage and ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Returned Goods: You will be responsible for handling all tasks related to returned goods, including inspecting and processing returns, and ensuring that all returned goods are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Loading and Unloading: You will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles using a counterbalance or reach forklift, ensuring that loads are evenly distributed and safely secured and labelled correctly.
  • Stock Management: You will be responsible for sorting returns, and organizing stock, ensuring that all stock is accurately stored and accounted for.
  • Quality and Safety: You will be responsible for ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures during all operations.
  • Stock Integrity: You will be responsible for preserving stock integrity by ensuring accurate stock handling and system updates.
  • Cargo Discrepancies: You will be responsible for ensuring all cargo discrepancies are correctly identified.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: You will have previous experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Forklift License: You must have a valid forklift license.
  • Freight Forwarder Experience: Ideally, you will have previous exposure working for a freight forwarder.
  • References: You will need to provide a 5-year referenceable history and a clear DBS.
  • Communication Skills: You will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
