Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Alcea Consultancy Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Maintenance Manager and Operational staff in maintaining the overall efficiency and output of our sites, facilities, and machinery.
  • Complete Total Preventative Maintenance Inspections, Servicing, and repair as necessary.
  • Attend to faults on machinery or plant at all company sites to ensure continuity of production.
  • Fabricate and/or manufacture components for maintenance repairs.
  • Requisition maintenance spares and components with authorization from the Maintenance Manager.
  • Advise the Maintenance Manager of faults that may require an external contractor.
  • Assist with the annual review of the Works Maintenance Programme with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all machinery and plant is inspected each year.
  • Regularly inspect grounds, factory, security, and general building maintenance.
  • Awareness of sub-contract maintenance visits and assist when necessary.
  • Position plant and machines in factory areas.
  • Attend to faults on customer site installations when requested.
  • Ensure housekeeping of work area is maintained.
  • Assist in working for other departments when necessary.
  • Ensure the safety, security, and integrity of all plant, equipment, facilities, and processes at all times.
  • Set up and maintain a critical equipment database.
  • Participate in Operations coordination meetings and agree on work schedules and priorities with managers and directors.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer skills with Maintenance Planning and Microsoft Tools.
  • City & Guilds Qualified Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Manufacturing Industry experience.
  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • Teamwork ethos across all functions (Engineering, Productions, Quality Management).
  • Valid driving license.
  • Basic knowledge of CMMS.

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 7.00am to 4pm, Friday 7.00-1pm.
