About the Role:

The Box is seeking an experienced archivist to join their team as a Senior Archives Assistant. This dynamic role is central to the development of an integrated approach to collections management and the delivery of The Box's ambitious programme.

As an ambassador for the archive collections, you will have in-depth knowledge of one area of the collection, either paper, media, and/or digital archives, as well as a broader understanding of archives and what it takes to run a successful service.

Collaboration and team working are key, along with an appetite to innovate and develop the accessibility of the archive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the management and development of the archive collections
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver The Box's ambitious programme
  • Provide expert advice on the management and preservation of the archive collections

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in archives management and development
  • Strong knowledge of one area of the collection, either paper, media, and/or digital archives
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
