About the Role

Sport Brighton, the University of Brighton's non-academic sport and fitness services, is seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Academic Engagement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your marketing career with your passion for sport, physical activity, and movement.

As an Academic Engagement Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across Sport Brighton to deliver engaging content across our online and offline channels to a range of audiences, including students, staff, and the public. Your key objectives will be to engage current students with our services, foster a sense of community and belonging, help recruit potential students to the university, increase the awareness of Sport Brighton's impact, and engage new audiences in our publicly available services.

The role will be varied and will see you working on different projects in a range of media, from website and email copy, social media, video, and physical events. You will have the opportunity to create video and digital assets, and to develop your skills in content creation and communication.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the appropriate content for a range of channels and platforms. If you have experience in content creation and are passionate about sport and physical activity, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging content strategies to promote Sport Brighton's services and activities
  • Work with colleagues to deliver content across online and offline channels
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns
  • Create video and digital assets to support content creation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, staff, and external partners
