AECOM is a world-leading infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle. We're seeking a talented Water Scientist to assist with a range of projects, focusing on the fluvial environment, estuaries, lakes, and marine environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct water quality studies, including baseline studies, environmental impact assessments, and pollution studies.
  • Perform hydrological investigations, such as flood, drought, and water resource allocation studies.
  • Conduct geomorphological studies, including channel enhancement and restoration projects, Natural Flood Management studies, and Fluvial Audits.
  • Support WFD / Environmental Compliance studies and EIA projects.
  • Provide pollution prevention advice, including Water Management Plans, Environmental Clerk of Works, and sustainable treatment trains.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified with an MSc in Geography, Geomorphology, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Hydro-chemistry, or similar.
  • Ability to conceptualize surface water environment issues.
  • Excellent report writing skills and effective communication.
  • Experience using GIS and a full UK driving license.
