Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Construction team at DWF, working on projects across the UK and internationally with a number of Partners and a supportive and collegiate team.

The role will offer the right candidate frontline experience on construction matters supporting the wider expanding Real Estate, Corporate, Commercial, Planning and Finance teams together with non-contentious opportunities arising from our strong global construction disputes team.

We are looking for a skilled attorney to work as part of the UK team with opportunities for hybrid working. The ideal candidate will be based in our Edinburgh office (Newcastle may also be an additional location that can be considered).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing project advisory advice.
  • Working closely with clients to provide practical, clear, and robust legal advice, ensuring their commercial objectives are met.
  • Building working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the business direction and client needs.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Experience in drafting and revising contracts and appointments for a range of projects and parties.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and its regulations.
  • A strong network of lawyers around the UK to share expertise, training and sector/client-specific knowledge.
