Chief Financial Officer Opportunity in Cornwall

SF Recruitment is working with a Cornwall-based, private equity-backed services and technology organisation with an international reach to find a seasoned Chief Financial Officer.

The organisation is on a strong growth trajectory and requires a CFO who can ensure the finance team and associated infrastructure are fit for purpose, while working closely with the CEO to set and drive the strategic direction of the business.

The role will be broad, encompassing areas such as IT, HR, and back-office customer service elements. In reality, 70% of the role will be financial and 30% operational.

At the right time, the successful candidate will also lead an exit on behalf of the current private equity backers.

We are seeking candidates who have been a No 1 CFO in a standalone or PE-backed business, ideally with experience of leading exit transactions within standalone companies with EBITDA in excess of £1m annually. We would also consider candidates who have been No 2 to a CFO in a standalone or investor-backed business, as this could be an opportunity for someone on the right career trajectory to secure their first PE CFO role.

We would likely draw the line at candidates currently in blue-chip organisations, but if you are working as FD of a standalone subsidiary of a larger group, please do apply and we can review your application.

Given the location of the role, our client will provide an expenses budget to cover travel and accommodation if needed a couple of nights per week.
