Job Title: Management Accountant


Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the financial team in reporting monthly management and financial accounts. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the culture of continuous improvement and accuracy of the Balance Sheet.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Support the Operations Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Undertake Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting files and documentation.
  • Liaise with the management team on financial performance on selected customers and provide income statements, variance analysis, and commentary.
  • Investigate cost and variances and seek guidance on accounting treatment.
  • Provide back-up and cover to other departmental staff, including bank reconciliations, expenses processing, petty cash, etc.
  • Support operational personnel in costing new work by evaluating P&L's and giving feedback on viability.

Requirements:



  • Use of Sage 200 (not essential)
  • Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and financial processes
  • Basic understanding of Power BI (not essential)
  • Good level of written and oral communication
  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified
