Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Intermediate Care team, providing specialist community therapy assessment and treatment to improve health and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and provide a specialized programme of rehabilitation, meeting the specific needs and agreed goals of patients to facilitate their rehabilitation and optimise recovery potential.
- Manage a clinical caseload with autonomy, demonstrating knowledge, experience, and relevant clinical skills.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment to measure progress/outcomes to ensure effectiveness of interventions and service delivery.
- Develop programmes of care to support discharge and contribute to clinical leadership/supervision, facilitating a culture of learning/reflective practice.
- Have high-level communication and excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate and establish collaborative partnerships with patients and care professionals.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, being responsible for ensuring Infection Control policy/procedures are followed.
- Assist in service development and development projects as we strive to transform and modernise patient care.

Person Specification- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HPC Registration.
- Ability to demonstrate specialized clinical reasoning and treatment skills.
- Good level of clinical reasoning, handling, and treatment skills.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, in isolation, and on own initiative.
- Demonstrate an awareness of NHS/Clinical Governance issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to risk assess for own and others' work area and caseloads.
