We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Functional Skills Tutor to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to learners, managing teaching and learning in line with our policies and practices, and contributing to the continuous development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver teaching duties, including initial assessments of learners, identifying individual learning needs, and referring to learning support as appropriate.
  • Plan and prepare teaching and learning materials, including course outlines, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date class registers and maintain high levels of retention, achievement, and learner progression.
  • Monitor learner attendance and punctuality, and take appropriate action as required.
  • Assess and record learner outcomes, including the completion of exam entry forms.
  • Comply with safeguarding requirements, including Health and Safety and GDPR regulations.
  • Observe and promote equal opportunities policies in the classroom and learning environment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of teaching on accredited English Functional Skills courses.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in teaching, preferably in a related industry or sector.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification).
  • Knowledge and training in subject specialism, e.g., PGCE, DET, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum L2 English and maths qualifications.
Additional Information

This role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The successful candidate will be required to work up to 20 hours per week and be available for up to two evenings per week.
