This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in HR and recruitment, working closely with our People Team to support the growth and development of our team members. You'll be responsible for assisting with recruitment and HR tasks, including hiring, weekly payroll, and general administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the People Team with recruitment and HR tasks, including hiring and weekly payroll.
  • Supporting the interview process for internal and external candidates, including coordinating trials and communicating with applicants.
  • Screening CVs, preparing interview questions, and delivering feedback with professionalism.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records in our HR system.
  • Providing support with payroll and benefits administration.
  • Preparing HR documents, such as offer letters and contracts.
  • Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with UK employment laws.
  • Helping to coordinate training sessions, inductions, workshops, and performance reviews.
  • Spending time out and about in the shops, learning about YSP operations.
  • Handling employee queries and promoting a positive, supportive workplace.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced recruitment or HR environment.
  • A confident communicator with excellent telephone and organisational skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Competent administrator, familiar with Excel or Google Sheets, Google Docs, and email management.
  • Comfortable using HR or ATS systems, with knowledge of Harri being a bonus.
  • A positive attitude and a love of working with people and building relationships.
