About the Role:

Fawkes and Reece is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team on a new industrial and commercial scheme. The project involves a steel frame office and industrial/mixed-use storage facility as part of a larger £200 million 6-year project in its first phase.

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the bulk earthworks and external works, including piling and structural contractors, drainage, and steel frame buildings with services and associated internal and external packages.

The project has progressed well through preconstruction, and now the initial earthworks and services require an engineer for setting out and QA of civils and structural external packages, including piling, ground works, structural steel frame, and ongoing external and facade works.

To be successful in this role, you must have up-to-date CSCS and experience with robotic EDM and CAD on large steel frame buildings with Tier 1 main contractor projects in excess of £15 million in the past.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bulk earthworks and external works, including piling and structural contractors
  • Manage drainage and steel frame buildings with services and associated internal and external packages
  • Ensure QA of civils and structural external packages, including piling, ground works, and structural steel frame
  • Work with subcontractor management and setting out for subcontract gangs on various buildings, car parks, and services

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date CSCS
  • Experience with robotic EDM and CAD on large steel frame buildings
  • Tier 1 main contractor projects in excess of £15 million in the past
  • Conversant with subcontractor management and setting out for subcontract gangs
