Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced academic to join our team at Global Banking School as a Lecturer in HND Digital Technologies. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in digital technologies and a passion for teaching at higher education level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures, developing course materials, and staying current with advancements in digital technology to ensure our curriculum remains cutting-edge.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work to ensure all learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as required.
  • Manage and lead modules/units within the HND Digital Technologies programme.
  • Stay up-to-date with specific and pedagogic innovations in digital technologies.
  • Contribute to engaging and retaining students through various teaching methods and materials.
  • Attend meetings as required to contribute to decision-making processes and develop productive working relationships within the team.
  • PARTicipate in staff development activities and peer observations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • A master's degree or higher in a relevant subject area (e.g., computing, IT, or computer science).
  • Good knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
    • Programming and software development.
    • Web development and digital marketing.
    • Database systems.
    • Cloud computing.
    • Networking and cybersecurity.
    • IoT and emerging technologies.
    • Business analysis and digital transformation.
  • Experience teaching in the wider subject area.
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
