Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physical Education Instructor to join our team of professionals in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons to students in the absence of a regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage PE lessons, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for students.
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans, promoting student participation and engagement in physical activities.
  • Encourage student involvement in sports and physical education, supporting their physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Manage student behavior in line with school policies and expectations, maintaining a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Liaise with other staff members to ensure smooth lesson transitions and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Strong passion for physical education and sports, with a desire to inspire and motivate students.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in a coaching, tutoring, or supervising capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
  • A qualification or background in sports or physical education is highly desirable, but not essential.
