Workshop Forklift Engineer Job Description

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Workshop Forklift Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment, ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism are met at all times to maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
  2. Conduct thorough checks on oil and fuel levels, hoses, and connections.
  3. Carry out steering and brake checks, as well as basic electrical checks.
  4. Liaise with customers to understand their individual requirements.
  5. Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
  6. Act as a brand ambassador for the company.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in servicing, repair, or maintenance of material handling equipment, construction plant, agricultural machinery, or powered access equipment.
  2. Knowledge of automotive, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components.
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Relevant technical qualification is advantageous.
