To achieve continued success, we are seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join our infrastructure team at the Newark site office, where Skanska is working alongside National Highways to deliver road upgrades.

The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for delivering the project in line with objectives and outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the construction team to ensure project delivery aligns with set objectives.
  • Define the organisation of the construction team, including clear roles and responsibilities, to guarantee successful project delivery.
  • Deliver the project in accordance with Skanska's Our Way of Working system and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including client requirements.
  • Develop the team, encouraging personal growth, fostering an inclusive culture, and monitoring/assessing performance against expected standards.
  • As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, champion and influence the overall collaborative strategy and vision of the project to the project team.
  • Prior experience in leading major highways schemes (preferably National Highways) as Project Director is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of highway construction methods, logistics, site security, and supply chain management is required.
  • A proven track record of overseeing significant utility diversions and compliance with third-party consents, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in delivering structures, including bridges over roads, rails, and water, within live traffic and rail infrastructure environments.

What We Offer:
