Deputy Care Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to join our team at M&D Care. As a Deputy Care Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to vulnerable adults in our Supported Living service, Ebenezer Chapel.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and business objectives.
- Ensure all records are maintained, monitored, and evaluated to ensure effectiveness.
- Liaise with the Manager across operational activities and assume responsibility for managing the Home during their absence.
- Provide quality care for vulnerable adults in a residential setting, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered through person-centred care plans.
- Monitor standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff.
- Contribute to team collaborative working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
- Assist with staff management, including training, development, supervision, appraisals, and mentoring.
- Facilitate activities that promote dignity, independence, and well-being.
Requirements
- QCF level 3 in health and social care or equivalent.
- Experience in the care sector, regulatory framework, and service delivery.
- Excellent working knowledge of essential standards and statutory inspections in social care.
- Passionate about supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
- Strong relationship-building skills, customer service skills, and computer literacy.
- Desire to support individuals to achieve their aspirations and personal goals.
- Experience of developing strong relationships with service users, family members, health professionals, and local authorities.
