Pyramid8 is working with a leading Life Science business in Sheffield to find a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to transition from laboratory work to a field service role or those with experience in the Life Sciences sector.
The company is a world-renowned manufacturer and supplier of instrumentation and software to the Life Science and PET/Nuclear Medicine sectors. They deliver high-quality products and exceptional service, and their commitment to excellence has earned them numerous awards.
The RoleDue to ongoing expansion, the company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their busy service team. The successful candidate will provide field service, technical support, software support, and operator training to customers. This will involve travel within the UK, with European and worldwide travel also a significant part of the role.
Responsibilities- On-site installation and operator training of instruments and software
- Preventative maintenance and qualification (IQ/OQ)
- Diagnosis and repair of systems
- Pre- and post-sales support
- Scheduling and prioritizing of service jobs
- Effective communication with customers
- Assist as needed with product demonstrations
- Prepare/submit service reports to customers
- Essential:
- Experience/knowledge of Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) or Liquid Scintillation Counting
- Full driving license
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Highly motivated and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Able to work independently
- Computer experience and proficiency
- Desirable:
- Relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical or Nuclear Medicine industries
- Experience of working with radioactivity would be an advantage
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines. The position will be based out of their Sheffield office.
