Job Description

This sales executive position is ideal for someone who has experience working as a business development executive, freight account manager, or area sales executive. You will be responsible for managing an assigned territory, demonstrating extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors, and participating in the creation of value-added solutions for customer's logistics needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned territory and develop relationships with potential customers and competitors
  • Timely data entry using a CRM system
  • Orchestrate customer / branch relationships and collaborate with regional teams
  • Participate in creating value-added solutions for customer's logistics needs
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary paperwork
  • Attend training & development sessions to continue developing selling skills and updating product knowledge
  • Involvement in local trade groups as directed by the District Sales Manager
  • Take on additional assignments as required to support company needs
Requirements

The successful sales executive will need to have:

  • Extensive sales experience with ability to build long-term relationships
  • Ability to work in a 'long-term not quick sale' type environment
  • CMS system experience beneficial
  • Freight or transport industry experience advantageous
