As a Cyber Security Incident Response Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Security department, managing the response to cyber and physical security incidents, developing incident response plans, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

\

You will be responsible for effectively managing higher severity cyber and physical security incidents, ensuring resilience for the National Energy System Operator and the whole energy sector. This includes developing and maintaining incident response plans, processes, and supporting documentation.

\

You will deliver information in formal reports or as presentations and briefings to internal and external customers, focusing on continuous improvement and personal development.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain incident response plans, processes, and supporting documentation.\

  • upport other business departments in the development and delivery of response plans.\
  • Plan and deliver Security exercises to various audiences.\
  • Take the initiative to connect internal teams with similar issues or opportunities.\
  • Develop relationships with government and energy sector stakeholders to improve understanding of threat intelligence.\
  • Take active involvement in industry forums and research groups.\
  • Develop and implement the Incident Response process effectively to ensure successful remediation and restoration in the event of a security incident.\
  • Understand the need for, opportunities, and limitations of response capabilities.\
  • Proactively share knowledge between the Incident Management function and other teams.\
  • Support junior team members and mentor them in their roles.\\
