Job Title: Senior Project Manager

United Living Group is a leading provider of sustainable solutions for a connected future. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Shetland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead our projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of works, ensuring successful project delivery, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement project strategies, ensuring successful project delivery and meeting targets for safety, time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  2. Manage project teams, setting standards and ensuring consistency across the business in line with United Living processes and procedures.
  3. Manage the company's obligations and rights under the terms of the contract.
  4. Act as a strong leader of health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) management, promoting high standards through regular site visits and coaching teams.
  5. Ensure accurate and compliant HSQE activity and reporting, highlighting and resolving concerns when identified.
  6. Ensure projects are staffed adequately and led and managed effectively, maintaining high levels of commitment and morale.
  7. Support the Operations Director in managing areas of opportunity and risk that may impact the business plan.
  8. Work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure commercial and operational matters are fully aligned and managed.
  9. Notify and obtain approval for any work carried out outside the scope of the contract, clearly understanding the implications and financial impact.
  10. Resolve operational and technical issues at a project level.
  11. Lead people responsibilities for the team, including undertaking and monitoring Performance & Development Reviews.
  12. Provide up-to-date and accurate reports on project progress, highlighting potential risks to relevant parties.
  13. Maintain strong working relationships on the project between Operations and Commercial teams.
Requirements:
  1. Must be an experienced Gas or Pipeline Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  2. Commercial and programming awareness, with experience using NEC forms of contract.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  4. Experience on similar works for or with Grid, Cadent, Northern Gas Networks, Scotia Gas Networks would be advantageous.
  5. Experience managing high-value projects or portfolios.
  6. Willing to travel on a weekly basis, lodging where required.
  7. Full UK driving license.
