Senior Supply Chain Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead our EU Operations for the newest Amazon Inbound Transportation program.


As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in our global business, ensuring our complex, international supply chains run seamlessly and efficiently.

You will help us optimize our supply chains to enhance the vendor experience and reduce costs.


A successful candidate should be able to analyze data to improve efficiency, support project planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Analyze and interpret data to improve efficiency across supply chains and multiple operations
  • Support the planning and organization of complex projects
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for the business, assessing the impact on the existing setup and defining tradeoffs between customer experience and cost
  • Be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical business initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Program and Development teams, making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus

This role involves problem-solving, working with multiple teams to navigate challenges, and driving Amazon towards achieving new objectives.


As a Supply Chain Manager, you will need to balance on-the-ground tasks with more tactical work, such as defining supply chain and operating models and assisting with site resource planning.

Amazon couldn't deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you'll be part of a diverse team that plays a central role in our success.


Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. Relevant experience in analyzing data and creating reports for leadership is essential.

  • Relevant experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
  • A degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics-related subject or MBA
  • Relevant experience in a supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, or transportation planning role
  • Experience using data visualization software, such as Tableau or Quicksight
