Health and Safety Manager

Vickerstock is partnering with a leading manufacturing firm to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading and promoting a strong culture of Health, Safety, and Environmental ownership across the business' Northern Ireland operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and drive health, safety, and environmental initiatives, fostering accountability and ownership
- Maintain systems to ensure compliance with HSE legislation and industry standards
- Coach and support teams in developing and maintaining HSE management systems aligned with ISO standards
- Act as the subject matter expert and key contact for all H&S matters
- Develop and implement H&S strategies to improve safety performance and reduce incidents
- Engage stakeholders in safety improvements and ensure participation in safety initiatives
- Lead risk assessment and hazard control programs, ensuring effective risk management
- Oversee safety training programs to enhance awareness and compliance across all levels
- Collaborate with HSE teams across the company to share best practices and align with broader company goals
- Monitor and report HSE performance, ensuring sustainability and continuous improvement
- At least 3 years' experience in a Health and Safety leadership role
- Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH/IOSH)
- Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience in managing and implementing Health & Safety management systems
- Demonstrable experience in building relationships with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders
