Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join our team at New Barn School, a specialist education and care provider for vulnerable pupils and young people. As a Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and support to our students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of subjects to students with complex needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) complexities.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans, assessing student progress and setting achievable targets.
  • Build strong relationships with students, promoting their interest and participation in their education.
  • Contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment, sharing best practices and expertise to enhance student outcomes.
About the School:

New Barn School offers a broad and balanced curriculum to students aged 6-19 with SEMH complexities. Our school takes full advantage of its beautiful settings, incorporating outdoor learning and activities such as forest school, farm experiences, and horse riding.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status and have a background of teaching a range of subjects at Primary Level, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level. You will also need to have knowledge of current education issues and be experienced in working within an SEN setting, supporting pupils and young people with challenging behaviour.
