About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Funeral Service Operative to join our team at Dignity. As a Funeral Service Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every goodbye is dignified and meaningful.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of funeral vehicles, ensuring they are clean and presentable at all times.
- Participate in coffining duties, including trimming coffins/caskets and dressing the deceased.
- Drive company vehicles to transport the deceased and assist with funeral services.
- Work closely with the Funeral Director to ensure that pre-funeral checks are completed, including route planning and address verification.
- Be part of a dynamic team that provides exceptional customer service and support to families during their most challenging times.
- Full UK Manual Driving License.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy weights in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- Familiarity with the local community is desirable.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and demonstrating composure and empathy in sensitive situations.
- Reliability, good presentation, and a focus on high standards in the job role.
- Annual salary of £23,997.65.
