Job Overview

The Planning Manager role is a critical component of the Alternative Fleet Time Docking Capability (AFTDC) department, responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating the AFTDC Plan into the Base. This involves ensuring the integrated plan, including key milestones, critical dates, and interdependencies, is captured, agreed, and delivered into the Base Integrated Plan.

The Planning Manager will work closely with Programme planners to identify risks, potential mitigations, and opportunities, generating schedules and reports that support informed decision-making and add clarity and value to the Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the AFTDC Plan, ensuring it is integrated with the Base Integrated Plan.
  • Work with Programme planners to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop opportunities.
  • Generate schedules and reports to support Programme decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the integrated plan is robust, accurate, and realistic.
  • Support risk and opportunity identification between Base and Programme.
Requirements

Strong Primavera P6 practitioner skills

Microsoft Office 365 (MS OS 365) Packages including Project

Strong Risk Management experience

APM Qualified

Additional Information

Assume hybrid working with up to 3 days/week spent in the Client's Glasgow office

Staff or Umbrella Contractor

Sole UK nationals only. SC Clearance required to start
