Job Title: Mobile Air-Conditioning Maintenance Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are seeking a skilled Mobile Air-Conditioning Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure all environmental conditions are maintained about critical building systems and to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to sites across the advertised locations, requiring a full UK driving license.
  • Ensure routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
  • Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
  • Remedy plant faults and defects swiftly to maintain plant in serviceable order.
  • Ensure suitable spares are available for maintenance and reactive works.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and pass it to the contract administrator without delay.
  • Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Keep up-to-date shift logs at all times.
  • Ensure all plant rooms under CBRE Managed services are locked and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Supervise and monitor sub-contractors' works while they are on site undertaking maintenance.
  • Arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.
  • Undertake lone working when required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
  • Ensure tasks as directed are completed with appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
  • Keep the Computer Based Maintenance system, SI LOCAL, up to date and close out PPM and reactive tickets with accurate data captured.
  • Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures, and client requirements.
  • Provide holiday and emergency cover as required, potentially at sites not normally covered.
  • Perform any other tasks as directed by the account management team.
Requirements:
  • A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English.
  • CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant field.
  • Good PC skills.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures, working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
  • Formally trained in electrical/mechanical Maintenance.
  • Mechanical and commissioning experience.
  • Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDU's, Crac units or equivalent, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data.
  • Engineers must also understand the demarcation between maintainable assets and BPL maintained assets within laboratory and production environments.
Circumstances:
  • Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in working patterns.
  • Must have a full UK driving license.
