Job Title: Senior Business Solutions Analyst

Job Purpose:

  1. Works closely with stakeholders to define, challenge, and document clear business requirements using appropriate techniques for elicitation, analysis of current systems, prioritization, etc.
  2. Responsible for preparing, evaluating, and documenting requirements within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery framework.
  3. Drives the analysis of business requirements and delivers functional and non-functional requirements to timescales agreed with the Project and Technology Managers.
  4. Facilitates evaluation of effort and carries out impact analysis of requested change, clearly identifying issues, risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  5. Examines the 'As Is' and 'To Be' states of products and applications to perform gap analysis.
  6. Accountable to regularly analyze the functionality and performance of legacy applications and products in collaboration with business owners, product owners, and technical teams, raising new backlog items or supporting business case development where appropriate.
  7. Ensures that the full impact of business change considers dependent processes and systems by carrying out structured analysis while making appropriate representations using various tools such as process models, data models, integration use cases, etc.
  8. Works with business areas and technical teams to define appropriate and compliant solutions and processes in order to meet business requirements and scope where required.
  9. Actively contributes during all agile ceremonies ensuring product requirements are understood throughout development cycles, closely collaborating with product owners, testers, and developers.

Key Skills:

  • Strong business analysis skills, with experience working as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or System Analyst on bespoke back-end systems developed in-house.
  • Demonstrable experience in system analysis, including understanding of legacy back-end systems, APIs, database structures, and system functional logic.
  • Experience in an AWS development environment along with a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts.
