Job Overview:

Building Careers UK is currently recruiting for a Residential Quantity Surveying Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quantity surveyor to take on a key role in the delivery of new build residential projects across West Yorkshire.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £65,000 - £75,000 + Car or Car Allowance, making it an attractive option for those looking to advance their careers in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of detailed cost plans and estimates
  • Monitoring of project costs and identification of potential cost savings
  • Management of variations and claims
  • Preparation and submission of interim and final accounts
  • Liaison with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
  • Compliance with contract terms and conditions
  • Mentoring and development of junior team members

About You:

As a successful candidate, you will possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, significant experience in quantity surveying within the residential construction sector, strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC), excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite), and a full UK driving license.

Working Hours:

This role is based in West Yorkshire, and the working hours are standard Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
