About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Officer to join our team at Smile Education. This term-time only position is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students.
Job Description:The Behavioural Support Officer will provide support, mentoring, and care for the physical and emotional welfare of students. This will involve operating a centralised student hub to offer mentoring and counselling to students who need it most.
You will work under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher, coordinating support and provision for students who need help overcoming barriers to learning and developing their potential by raising standards of behaviour for learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing care to pupils, ensuring their safety, and dealing with any problems they may have.
- Liaising with other staff members, parents/guardians, and professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Following GDPR & Safeguarding protocol to maintain confidentiality and protect vulnerable individuals.
- Developing resilient relationships with students, building trust, and using behaviour management strategies effectively.
- Working independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A background in health care, childcare, counselling, or social care with children or young adults.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and adapt to different settings and approaches.
- A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students and their communities.
£28,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
