Pipefitter Specialist

Job Overview:
Pipefitter required to work in Birkenhead for a leading UK shipbuilding and repair company. This is a long-term temporary position with opportunities for permanent employment based on performance.

Salary and Benefits:
£20.00 per hour (PAYE) with overtime paid at x1.5 (£30.00) and x2 (£40.00). The role also includes holiday pay, pension auto-enrolment after 3 months, and opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain piping systems onboard ships according to engineering specifications. Fabricate and assemble pipes using specialized tools and techniques. Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of pipework installations and repairs.

Requirements:
City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in Pipefitting is beneficial. Proven expertise in industrial pipefitting work is essential. Significant experience in marine/ship repair, steel fabrication, offshore, petro-chemical, or construction industries is also required. A CCNSG Safety passport or equivalent is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.

Location:
The successful candidate will be based in Birkenhead and must be commutable from surrounding areas such as Liverpool, Widnes, Runcorn, St Helens, Warrington, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Deeside, Wrexham, Flint, Shotton, Broughton, Mold.
