About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance functions in APAC.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial data, including accounts payable, general ledger, and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing closing journals, reviewing AP entries processed by our SSC team, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

You will also review weekly payment prelists for staff claims and vendor invoices, approve concur entries for vendor invoices, and prepare and review month-end reporting packs.

An additional responsibility is to ensure proper and accurate financial reporting in compliance with statutory legislation and regulations.

You will investigate PL variances and compare budget to actual and period over period, work on reconciliation between APAC system against statutory accounts, and review and check bank reconciliations, creditor listing, and intercompany postings.

A strong understanding of tax laws and regulations is essential, as you will be responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly GST/VAT reports for filing and assisting in annual global audit and tax.

You will also liaise with auditors, Tax Agents, corporate secretary, and bank relationship managers, assist in annual budget process, and liaise with budget owners on cost control.

In addition, you will assist in supervising junior accountants, lead and participate in ad hoc projects, and look into strengthening current internal control and process improvement.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional certification, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant AP/GL experience, particularly with the APAC region coverage.

You should possess a sense of urgency and adaptability to changing environments, be meticulous and able to meet deadlines, and have good team player, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.

Earning Potential:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
